Welcome to my site! My name is Jennifer Issaverdens. I work with clay, glass, and up-recycled art using organic and natural materials including wood, metal, natural found objects and fabric. I love the entire process of creating something useful out of a lump of clay, recycling, or found objects. It gives me great joy to know that my projects serve as both sculptural and functional uses in people's lives. No mass production here! Each piece is individually planned and produced by me- one at a time.
Since
I was young, ceramics or other art classes was always a focus in my life. As a traveler I had to seek out local ceramic groups or find specific ceramics classes to take. While in Boston I was involved with a group of potters known for their special techniques, and my ideas took off. Later, I moved back to California, and purchased my own kiln and studio. I took a bit of time off to be a stay at home mom but now I'm back working full time experimenting with new techniques and mediums, and creating a wide variety of art.
